Fixin' A Flat by Bill Anton

The boulder-strewn country of northwest Arizona is particularly hard on horse and man. Ranching in these remote areas means chasing calves and half-wild cows over miles of rock, cacti, and catclaw, which demands tough horses and talented men. Carrying spot shoeing tools is essential in places a long way from anywhere. Here a loose shoe is pulled and reset in less time than it takes to fix a flat tire.
