Ragan Gennusa loves to paint longhorn cattle. The breed, with steer horns measuring up to seven feet tip to tip. is an iconic as the ranchers and cowboys who breed and herd them.
Longhorn cattle formed the cattle industry and created an integral part of the history of the great State of Texas and the beautiful, awe-inspiring land. Though sometimes rugged and harsh, the land permeates the soul of every Texan and is revered and loved, especially by those who are fortunate to own a piece of it. These two great longhorns, as depicted in this image, will forever remain a legacy of the Lone Star State. The owners of this beautiful ranch west of Dripping Springs will pass their land and these longhorns on to their children.
