Jim’s passion for artistic expression is the common thread that has inspired him throughout his life.
He is a native of Birmingham, Michigan and financed his way through The College For Creative Studies by playing drums with Bob Seeger and Glenn Frye.
Then, applying his creativity, he won almost every major award in advertising.
He had you "only go around once in life" with Schlitz Beer.
He linked Taster's Choice with ground roast flavor and turned jars into percolators.
His work for National Geographic inspired you to watch PBS.
The Christian Children's Fund appealed to you through his direct-mail designs.
AC-Delco broke sales barriers with Chuck Yeager in a campaign that he designed and directed for seven years.
Randy Travis toured nationally with posters Jim designed.
Dell, Avon, Doubleday and Marvel Comics sold thousands of books and magazines
with his covers.
ABC optioned his scripts for television.
With "Let go of my Eggo!" and "Take the Nestea plunge" he's been talking to you
for years.
Now, on a higher level of communication, Jim’s passion is expressed in his fine art.
"Life is impermanent.
Eventually, everything changes.
Faces age. Jeans fade.
There are stills in this transition,
a breath along the journey,
that I capture in the pure, tonal reality of the moment.
No matter what the subject....
what I share with you is exactly what I see...
in its emotional form."
